Emma’s Story
When Emma’s brother passed away she lost all direction in life. She was excluded from three schools, in trouble with the law, and it felt as though she was drifting without any hope.
When her father passed away shortly after, she decided to join a local council youth programme. There she started to find her way – building her self-confidence whilst achieving her DofE Bronze and Silver Awards and working towards her Gold.
Today she is a newly qualified Youth Worker for the council and working in a new multi-disciplinary team. She’s finally on a path that would have made her dad proud – and she’s determined to stay there.
